Underwater communications are difficult at best as most frequencies will not transmit under water. These compact communications units are specially designed for underwater use, and are able to transmit and receive voice transmissions over a distance of 50 to 500 feet, depending on conditions. The SportSub Communicators will allow you to describe the sights to those on the surface, receive instructions, and provide an additional level of safety. There are 3 communications units available for integration with your SportSub submersible. The sub unit, a surface unit and a diver unit. You only need one unit per sub, and probably only need one surface unit, but could use as many diver units as you think you might have divers in the water with the sub. These units are all voice activated, and operate on the USB 32.768 kHz Carrier Reference Frequency. Modulation is Single Sideband Suppressed Carrier.
