Additional information This added strength gives greater security as line tension increases particularly when conditions become more demanding. Lower line stretch delivers more power to the sail with less stretch across the foot of the sail distorting sail trim. Construction The added performance of 16 Plait Matt is made possible by the proven 3-strand low twist core. The load bearing core is then protected by a soft cover that provides good grip on winches and comfortable handling, wet or dry. Applications Ideal main and genoa sheet for long distance cruising and day sailing. A perfect sheet rope for performance dinghies and catamarans where comfortable handling is more crucial than weight. Knotting and Splicing Good flexibility allows for easy knotting to sail clews without fear of slippage. Splicing is an easy option with a strength retention of around 95% being achieved.
