Product description
The SeaBotix LBV (Little Benthic Vehicle) is the first low cost, remote operated vehicle. Through intuitive controls, an operator can view real time underwater video from the surface. The high resolution colour camera is capable of 180 degree rotation.
Additional information
The introduction of LBV into the recreational market offers many users with a useable underwater inspection tool. LBV can aid in the survey of ship's hulls, anchoring lines and anchors. Sleep easy while anchored. Use LBV in any conditions without the risk or hassle of putting a diver in the water.

LBV has another side - fun. Explore the depths of the ocean in search of marine wild life, treasure or fishing. Not designed to replace diving, LBV merely aids in maximizing bottom time by finding the best location. For those less excited with diving follow friends and family with the safe LBV.

Use LBV to monitor the underside of ship's hulls, propellers, anchoring lines or mooring buoys. With the auto heading and depth, LBV is easily maneuvered along an anchor line or level of hull. During passage making a bump in the middle of the night is alarming and potentially dangerous. Bring LBV out, deploy and check for damage before sending in a diver. LBV is a safe alternative to diving.

Designed to meet the needs of most users the 150m system offers performance, durability, compact size and affordability. With the depth rating, standard features and optional accessories the 150m system can be used for many different applications.

Each of the four thrusters produces 4.5 lbs/2 kg of peak thrust and 3.5 lbs/1.6 kg continual, propelling the vehicle to speeds in excess of 3 knots. A 420 line .3 lux color camera rotates to provide 270 degrees field of vision. Following the camera is an intensity adjustable 50-watt halogen lamp. Up to two cameras can be fitted on the rotating chassis. With input power requirements ranging from 90 to 260 volts, LBV can be plugged into any wall in any part of the world with no adjustment by the user. No walls, no problem--LBV can simply be powered by a small 1 kw generator or inverter. Impressive on its own is the umbilical. With a 7.4 mm diameter, neutral buoyancy in fresh water and Kevlar strength, member drag is greatly reduced while strength is maintained.

Simplifying operation is the single stick three axis, including rotate, joystick and membrane keypad, which comprise the control console. The industrial joystick offers forward, reverse, rotate and lateral movement with dive and surface located on the keypad. Included on the tactile keypad are additional functions, such as thruster gain control, trim, auto heading and depth, cameral rotate and focus, light on/off and intensity, grabber arm manipulation and video overlay programming.

ROV operation is often in demanding environments. With this in mind, LBV is ruggedly designed to withstand considerable impacts. Each of the six pressure vessels in LBV are isolated for flooding protection and encased in a protective shell. The power supply, which can be temporarily submersed, is transformer-isolated and GFI-protected.
