First generation remote medical monitoring product. It is a small, self-contained medical unit, with ancillary medical sensors that measure vital signs (heart rhythm-ECG, blood pressure-NIBP, blood oxygen-SPO2, temperature and pulse.)

The medical unit transmits and display, in real-time, medical vital signs data over analogue wire line and Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) wireless transmission circuits and Global Satellite Systems (GSM) for mobile communication. The unit can be interfaced with Integrated Switched Digital Networks (ISDN) and Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD), and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA IS-95a) where available Wireless link to a nearby Patient Display Unit (PDU). The PDU (using VitalSoft monotoring software, receives the data from the medical unit, displays it on screen and transmits it to the remote 24/7 monotoring centre for review and assessment by the doctor.
