Using the WebSite
1. Browse the catalogue starting with the Catalogue menu on the left or by clicking on 'Browse by Manufacturer'. You can also search for any Product by using the Product Search
2. Use the "Add to Enquiry" buttons to build a list of products on which you'd like a price.
3. When you are ready to send your order follow the instructions to order by fax, phone or email.
When we receive your order we will contact you to confirm details and discuss pricing / payment options.
Why do I have to say where I want delivery to? Our system picks out the nearest/quickest supplier to you. World wide the same products have different prices - up to 10 different prices in some cases! Back to topSo why does the local chandlery not get the order? The order usually goes to the main distributor for the Country (for Europe and the rest of the world) or Area/State for the USA. They are more likely to have the product range and stock required. Some times the order goes directly to the manufacturers system that knows where the nearest stock is. Some products are shipped direct from the manufacturer through a special agreement, usually this is for products that are unlikely to be needed in a hurry and the great prices make up for the shipping cost! Back to topCan I open an account? Sorry, not yet. The yacht's credit card comes with 30 days credit and VISA has more cash to lend than we do! However for ease and speed we hope to have this facility available for our best customers in the near future Back to topWhat about high value items? For some products (the range of submersibles for example) we arrange payment off-line. We will contact you. Back to topWhy can't you tell me the taxes/shipping cost straight away? We are working on it, at least to provide an estimate. Some taxes however are decided by the customs agent at the time of entry into the country and so almost impossible to calculate Back to topHow much do you add on to the price? We don't, we have trade agreements set up with manufacturers and distributors in advance, they dictate the selling price. Back to topHow long will it take to ship? The nearest supply point - that is likely to have stock - gets the order almost immediately and it goes straight into their system for processing. Our pre-agreed credit accounts or manufacturers payment guarantees ensure that your order is not held up waiting for payment to arrive. In the rare instance that we need to pre-pay a suppliers we have systems in place to do this in minutes not days. Back to topCan I phone/fax/email an order? Usually yes, we also have a backlog of products that are being put into the catalogue, and a backlog of suppliers that want to be in the catalogue - your request may well be a part of that! Also it's very possible that one of our larger distributors stocks the product but we do not yet have manufacturer permission to put it on the site. Back to topCan you find obscure stuff for me? We can try but it's not really what we do, of course if you want 30 things from the catalogue and one oddball we'll get it - but we don't deny that there are people out there better at oddballs than us - in fact we'll probably ask them to get it! Back to topWhere won't you ship to? A very few distributors of certain maintenance products have a problem shipping into boatyards as the boatyard is a good customer. So if the yard is overloading the price - buy before you get there! Generally war zones can be difficult too! Certain products are restricted from shipping into or out of the USA - a list can be found at: US Customs we work with some of the most respected shipping firms in the world to avoid problems whenever possible.
